Y’ALL, that label in the corner isn’t lying, yes I’m now officially on the PR list for ORLY. I believed in myself and reached out to sell myself, and they liked what they saw and have been sending over their products! This is a lesson to believe in yourself, and make the first move every so often. Sorry just had to talk about that because I was so excited and proud of myself.
NOW. Y’all also know the drill, the spiel if you will. Just because I’m now receiving these products for free will not change how I’m reviewing them. You can look back on this blog over the years and see that I purchased these Orly collections myself for YEARS. And if they had said no, I would still be purchasing them to review myself. If I hated a formula, and it was so hard to work with? I would absolutely still tell you. You would be able to SEE it in the videos, those aren’t ever edited to improve formulas, they won’t lie. Overall PR just helps me out in the way of freeing up some more funds in my polish budget so I can review other brands for you all. I’ll still continue to buy so much polish on my own and I would never give up your trust in my reviews. Nothing’s changing there.
OKAY I’M DONE, THIS WAS THE FIRST BIG MAINSTREAM BRAND SENDING ME STUFF, we had to go over it all.
NOW. Let’s talk about this little collection, shall we?
This is the ‘Hopeless Romantic’ collection and it’s Orly’s spring release. It features the typical 6 bottle release, with 3 shimmers and 3 creams. The color palette overall has a nice whimsical spring feel to it, spanning from some blues and purples, over to the pinks, peaches and reds. These are available on the Orly website, and I do always recommend their Color Pass if you’re so interested in trying out some shades at a discounted price.
We’re far from done with the Winter mainstream holiday releases, and now we come to the most unique release of the season. I know this one has raised some eyes from nail polish lovers all around, but just give it a chance here and you just might love that sparkle.
This past year each Orly collection has been inspired by a different style of art, and we’re finishing it out with ‘Futurism’. And this one definitely has that futuristic, “everything is chrome” feel to it. It features these 6 shimmery, metallic shades in more muted, almost grungy, space like colors. They’re just so interesting and different (and so much harder to describe) than any other collections we’ve seen for the holiday and I was so ready to swatch them up and see these shades in person on my nails as soon as I pulled them out of the box.
As always, I got this set through my Orly Color Pass. I’ve talked about that a million times in each Orly post, but Ialways want to update for any new readers. Orly Color Pass is a program where you can pay one larger fee annually, and then receive the 4 seasonal releases automatically shipped to your door! Each box always contains some extra goodies – this one came with a full size cuticle oil as well as a cute little tote bag. And more exciting now and so much easier for me to recommend to new subscribers, they now have a quarterly option as well. Instead of paying for the whole year, you can grab individual boxes that catch your eye at a nice little deal with those extra goodies. I’ve been raving about it for so long now, and it’s a fantastic way to grab any collections you’re curious about at a discount.
Now from the group photo above, I know you’re just so intrigued, so let’s get into swatches already!
IT’S FALL, TIME, Y’ALL. Well at least in the nail world. We move fast here, so it’s truly autumn time, with brands dropping their seasonal collections. And honestly I wouldn’t be mad if the weather decided to catch up as well – I’m so ready for 60 degree weather and sweaters. Sweaters, not sweating. Please, Chicago weather.
Anyways, as mentioned it’s fall in nail time, so it’s time to dive right into the fall collections. We’re looking at Orly’s release first up, since the Color Pass box showed up on my doorstep. (I’ve mentioned Color Pass a million times, but it’s where you pay up front and throughout the year you get the 4 collections delivered to you with additional goodies in each box. And you can also just buy one box at a time, so even better to recommend. A great option if you’re already planning on buying full collections or want to try out the brand!).
This collection is the ‘Surrealist’ collection, and it continues the Art theme Orly has had going on for the entire year (their spring was Impressions and the summer was the POP!). This is a set of 6 shades of rich and saturated cream shades and 2 gorgeous shifty shimmers. Really gorgeous for a fall collection! Enough talking, let’s look at these swatches already!
Oh you probably thought I was just GONE, didn’t ya! Well NOPE, you won’t ever get rid of me. Don’t you WORRY, I’ve still been buying mounds of nail polish and I still have lots and lots of shades to show you. This here blog isn’t going ANYWHERE, and in fact, as we continue on in this summer I only want to get more and more consistent in my posting again. Because I MISS Y’ALL. And I just like talking about nail polish, that’s not going to change anytime soon.
ANYWAYS, let’s talk about this next collection shall we? We have a few more summer releases to look at still, more shades for the warm weather coming out.
This is the POP! collection and it’s Orly’s release for Summer 2022. It features 4 cream shades, 1 shimmer and 1 topper. As always, I got this in my Orly Color Pass. If you’ve seen any of my previous posts about Orly you know what that is – but just in case you’re new here, it’s a special that Orly does where you pay up front, and then throughout the year you’re automatically sent 4 of Orly’s seasonal releases. And they always contain an extra fun goodie in each box. I always say it’s a deal if you’re already planning on grabbing all of the collections like me. But you can also purchase one box at a time now to try it out! So lovely all around. Otherwise, these shades are available individually on the Orly website.
We have some gorgeous colors here, so let’s get right on into the swatches! Let’s see if these shades do truly POP. (Sorry, I had to).
It’s the end of the month and she continues with her blog catch up after a little blog break! Sure it says it was published on the 11th, but that’s the blog magic (and her just changing dates to spread out posts and match them their Instagram dates).
ANYWAYS, let’s talk about our next Spring collection today! This is the Spring 2022 release from Orly, called the Impressions collection. It features 6 lovely, almost muted spring-like cream shades.
As always, I got this with my Orly Color Pass. The Color Pass is a program Orly does where you can pay ahead of time and then you automatically get 4 collections sent and delivered to you throughout the year – along with additional goodies in each box. It’s great for someone like me who is already planning on buying all the shades. BUT they’ve also introduced buying individual boxes, so a great way to try it out first as well! I highly recommend.
We’re continuing right along with the holiday collections here, we’re DEEP into winter polishes now and there’s no going back.
Today we’re looking at the Orly release! This is the ‘Momentary Wonders’ collection and it features 6 super shimmery and sparkly shades. I got this with my Orly Color Pass which I’ve talked about a million times before. But if you’re new here, the Color Pass is a deal where you pay a full cost up front (or they recently added where you can pay for each box separately as well! Exciting!), and then throughout the year, the 4 seasonal Orly collections get shipper to you. Each box also always contains extra goodies as well – this box came with a nice sturdy hair clip and an extra polish!
Normally I always say these boxes are fantastic if you’re like me and looking to purchase all of the polishes anyways – it’s a great deal for that. But now especially that you can order one box at a time, that’s even better and you can try it out and see how you like it without the commitment!
Alright, that’s out of the way, let’s get into the swatches!
Kelli Marissa is a big name in the nail world, being a prolific nail polish reviewer, as well as consistently putting out easy to follow nail art and designs. I had previously purchased her first collab with Orly – 3 galaxy themed shades with so much gorgeous shimmer to them (you can see my post on them here. Unfortunately they’re all sold out, and were limited edition, but maybe they’ll show up in a destash later if you missed on them!) So when a 2nd collab was announced, I was very excited and expected the same amount of glitter and sparkle – I was not disappointed.
This is the ‘Greens’ release, and as you might have guessed, features 2 greens created by Kelli herself as her “favorites”. This is just a duo, with 2 polishes. Both retail for $12 each, and are available still on the Orly website! They feature the same bottle design as the first release as well – with a label featuring Kelli’s handwriting with each polish name.
Now this duo was even more special to me, as my lovely Insta-friend Martina reached out about them and asked if I could send them along since they weren’t available in Germany! And of course I said yes because she’s the sweetest and we got them sent on over! She posted a lovely manicure using these shades, so definitely check it out! They work together so well, and of course she deserves more love – if you love both polishes and books, you’re in for such a treat. And it’s just so cool to see how polish connects us, and how Instagram has expanded my community to so many people around the world!
I wanted to wait until she received them herself to swatch them up, and now that they’re there safe and sound, let’s look at these gorgeous polishes!
I spilled my Pumpkin Cream cold brew on myself right as I was finishing up this post, so you know this feels fitting. Happy fall y’all.
Alright let’s get into the review, as the caffeine courses through my veins. And of course, we’re looking at yet another fall collection! This is the ‘Wild Natured’ collection for fall 2021 from Orly. It features 6 saturated cream shades in another gorgeous color scheme (I think this is the perfect “fall version” of their summer release as well). It’s a different take on fall color palettes and I love it!
As always, I received this as part of my Orly Color Pass that I purchased. If you haven’t read my previous Orly reviews – the Color Pass is a thing Orly does where you pay one larger sum at the beginning, and then you receive 4 Orly collections throughout the year automatically. Each box always contains that seasons 6 piece release, as well as other additional goodies. I absolutely love it, and it’s been perfect for someone like me who always plans on purchasing any collection anyways! I definitely recommend it but of course it depends on your own polish purchasing habits.
Today we’re looking at the newest collaboration with Orly and Kelli Marissa! If you don’t know, Kelli is a pretty well known nail polish YouTuber. She does lots of swatches as well as easy nail art! And now she’s collaborated with Orly, one of my favorite mainstream brands for a trio of space-themed shades. They’re all super shimmery and glittery and shifty shades.
They have labels complete with Kelli’s handwriting sharing the shade name, as well as her name on the bottles as well. I do love when there’s a special little touch like that for a special collection! These were available on the Orly website for $12 each, or in a bundle of 3 shades for $32. These are more expensive than a traditional Orly shade, which retail for $9.50. But it’s something that happens with special releases and collaborations!
Now, I do realize it’s been a while since these released, and this blog post is behind, and most of the shades are sold out at this point. But I have a rule with myself of “no blog post unpublished”. I like to just get these swatches up anyways, as a nice reference for myself, and for you in the future! Maybe you run across these shades in a destash, and are still looking for swatches. Or it’s just fun to look back on previous years’ releases and collaborations. Either way I still wanted to get this post up with these absolutely lovely shades!
Today we’re looking at the next summer collection on the docket, and it’s from one of my favorite, and I still believe underrated brands, Orly. Now Orly’s summer collection last year had some absolutely stunning neons and brights in it so I expected no different from this one. And I was not disappointed!
As always, I received this as part of my Orly Color Pass. I’ve talked about Orly Color Pass many times before and how much I love it! But just in case you’re new here, I’ll give another quick rundown. The Color Pass is where you pay a fee up front ($119) and then over the course of the year after you sign up, you receive 4 of Orly’s seasonal collections. The boxes are automatically mailed out to you as they release, and show up on your doorstep. And each box always contains extra goodies – like this box contained a full size of their Bonder base coat! I always say it’s a great deal if you’re like me and already planning to buy all of their collections anyways. Or it’s perfect if you’re looking to expand your collection and get more polishes! Orly has really been impressing me with their formulas lately, and they’re great at coming out with different finishes and formulas.
So that’s my spiel, definitely check out the website and you can sign up if you’re interested! Right now you’ll receive this summer collection as your first box!
Alright, let’s get right into this collection! It’s an absolutely stunning color story and I love how the colors all look together. And you’ll see they’re absolutely beautiful formulas. Let’s get right into it already!
