Hey look, it’s a makeup review! It’s been a while since that’s happened. I have so many new products that I’ve been using over these past few weeks and I just haven’t written about them. I know, I don’t know what I’m doing either.

So I’m changing that. The next couple of weeks I’m going to (try to) be more gung ho and just really get some new reviews up. Especially because I have a couple of Ulta gift cards and a 20% off coupon, so that means soon I’ll have even more new things to test out. Gotta clear out some of the older stuff first – so stay tuned for lots of reviews coming up!

Alright here we go! Let’s get into this one!

Today, I have a new CoverGirl concealer. This came out with a powder and other products in their Outlast line. This is called the Outlast All-Day Soft Touch concealer. It comes in a squeezy tube.

It has a sponge tip applicator, and when you squeeze the tube the product comes up through the center. As you can see by my well loved product, because there’s product left on the sponge, it does get messy. A small con to think about. When it’s new, the product can squeeze up fast and surprise you, so watch out for that as well.

I find it to be a little thicker consistency, but not super thick where it’s just like putty and doesn’t blend.

It is more expensive than others – might just be because it’s new. This retails for $11.99 at Ulta, and $8.99 at Target – where other concealers run around $6-$8. It does seem smaller, but it has the same amount of product in it as any other drugstore concealer. One tube has lasted me quite a while, using it pretty much every day.

As you can see it does take away a lot of the darkness and redness under my eyes. The dark circles aren’t completely gone, but it’s definitely looking a lot brighter and even looking.  It’s a little easier to see in the 3rd photo where the concealer is on the right, compared to the un-concealed left side.

On top of blemishes and scars, it also cancels out a lot of redness, and brings the overall look of the zit down.

It’s not the most full coverage concealer in the world, I will say that, but it does a really good job at evening out my skin tone, and bringing everything back together to look more seamless. I would say it’s more of a light-medium coverage. You might still need a corrector for especially dark circles, and really red acne or really dark acne scars won’t be completely covered up, but this works lovely for day to day use. More of a natural looking concealer.

It does blend nicely and easily into my skin and foundation, so the yellow undertone is a little less noticeable. Even when I accidentally use too much, it blends out nicely and seamlessly. It dries down into a powder finish as well, and doesn’t stay tacky to the touch.

I do have little eye wrinkles, so I can’t speak too much about it creasing, since everything creases into them, but it doesn’t seem especially crease-y. It feels very light to the touch, and barely feels like I’m wearing anything under my eyes at all.

I find it lastly many hours, most of the day for me, and not wearing weirdly under my eyes. So the lasting power on this is also very nice! I mainly notice the coverage of it slowly going down throughout the day, instead of it disappearing all at once.

The one thing I’m disappointed about in this concealer is the shade range. There are only 6 shades, and I have 2 of them, including the very lightest one. 810 – Fair is the very lightest it goes, and it just barely works for me now. Come winter time, when I’m more pale, it won’t work for me. So people who have lighter skin than me won’t have a shade that works for them.

There’s not a huge step between the shades either. The only real difference is that 830 is much more yellow than 810.

Both shades are also very yellow-toned, making it clash a little against my neutral/cool undertones. So overall, the color selection is very whomp, as I didn’t see any pink or neutral tones in the lineup.

So it does have nice coverage, a nice feeling, and lasts the day for me. It’s a good everyday concealer, as it’s light and blends nicely. It’s not going to be the most full coverage concealer in the world, but good for brightening and evening out your skin.

Conclusion: good light-medium coverage, lovely lightweight feeling, and blends very smoothly, lasting throughout the day. However, the shade range leaves something to be desired. If you can find a shade that matches your skin tone and coverage needs, feel free to pick it up! It’s overall a nice concealer.
