We’re continuing with my Great Blog Catchup of 2026™ and it’s time to finish FALL. Yes, on May 1st, it is obviously the last day of fall and soon it’ll continue on into winter, this is how seasons work (well I guess they do in the Southern hemisphere), and it’s not because I didn’t blog for months and it just all makes sense obviously.
So yes, today we continue on through our journey of 2025 OPI releases. For each seasonal collection, they’ve been releasing 12 shades in the regular lacquer formulas, and then 12 different shades in the Infinite Shine formula. I already reviewed the regular lacquer shades, which you can see here. If you haven’t read any of my other Infinite Shine reviews, I’ll give you a quick overview on what OPI says makes it different and special.
The Infinite Shine shades are the ones with the silver caps instead of black, and they run a few dollars more per shade than the regular lacquer. They’re more expensive as OPI claims they’re a long lasting formula that can deliver up to 11 days of “gel-like” wear. These are not gel shades, just gel-like. (If it’s a true gel formula, it’ll be in an opaque bottle as light can cure it). As always, I swatch so often that I can’t fully speak to the longevity. So I’ll be reviewing these shades by color and application, and from there you can make a purchasing decision! In the end you decide what to do with your own money!
These are still available from Beyond Polish – a site I absolutely love and always recommend! When shopping there you can use code “GingerlyPolished” for 10% off your purchase (that is an affiliate code so I would make a tiny bit of commission if you use it. If that makes you uncomfy at all, absolutely no worries at all!)
Let’s get on into the swatches!

Now I noticed that a lot of these shades, especially the cream formulas, have a more squishy, almost crelly like finish. It’s like they have drops of jelly added, and I’m sure that has to do with OPI specifically promising the gel-like shine. So these don’t quite apply like pure creams, being more uneven on the 1st coats and needing some building up. It’s a little trade off for the shine and just something to keep in mind!
We start right out with ‘Lip Hot Liner’ and I’ll agree that it is pretty fitting for the ’90s, in both name and color. They loved a deep liner then (I almost said “we” there but I was born in ’94 so I was not participating in lip liner). So in going for a beloved lip liner tone, this is a rich warm brown cream shade. I didn’t think this would be a shade that my camera would mess up, but it was truly pulling so much darker than it is in real life! It has warmth and coziness to it, as well as almost peachy tones.
As mentioned above, this is where you can really see that squishiness coming through with this polish being a deeper color. It definitely has pigment to it but it’s more sheer and uneven on the first coat. Luckily, even with all of my talk about that, a 2nd coat comes in and really makes it so rich on the nails. So yes, it’s squishier than I expect for a cream on 1st coat, but it’s still an easy 2 coat formula. I have to point out everything, it’s what I do, so you aren’t surprised on first application.

‘Nail Prep Rally’ is a rich almost berry red shade. It has some warmth, almost pulling to a brick red, yet it’s still cooler and more muted overall. I’m not often a big fan of warm reds, but this shade is just gorgeous.
This one had that same squishier formula as ‘Lip Hot Liner’ above, and again it’s just more noticeable with the deeper shades. It’s more sheer and uneven on that first coat, but the 2nd coat comes in and easily builds it up to full opacity. I really liked this shade a lot!

With any of these 2 part OPI releases, as I swatch up the Infinite Shine shades I like to show any close pairs of shades between the two formulas. So ‘Nail Prep Rally’ of the Infinite Shine side is in the same family as ‘Slip Dressed Up’ from the regular line. But when put these two side by side you can see ‘Slip’ is that true classic brick red shade that’s popular for the fall time. Next to this warmer shade you can also really see the berry tones of ‘Nail Prep Rally’.

This whole collection isn’t going to be deep, dark, muted shades, oh no. Now it’s time for some in your face COLOR. This is ‘Mini Plaid Flirt’ and it’s an almost neon, searing red shade. It’s very, very warm with definite orange tones to it and it’s representative of those random 80 degree days when summer WON’T LET GO, LET ME HAVE THE COOL FALL WEATHER ALREADY. Anyways.
This has a STUNNING formula, being practically opaque in just 1 coat. It is interesting to compare to the other cream shades above, as this one feels like a true cream and has that pigment AND the shine. I’m not a chemist, maybe I know nothing, I’m really just doing my best here.

Of course we have to compare the two tomato reds from both collections. ‘Totally Red-ical’ is bright, but ‘Mini Plaid Flirt’ takes it to a whole other level, being even brighter and more orange. 2 levels of tomato red, pick your poison.

Was that enough orange for you? If not, MORE ORANGE (I’m just yelling in this post). This is ‘Rollerbabe’ and it’s a bright yellow toned, almost neon orange crelly shade. Summer is still holding on, but maybe like a 75 degree day now, it’s cooling down.
We go back to the more sheer, almost crelly-like formulas. This one is even more sheer than the first two shades, and I think that comes from it being a brighter, more white-based color. I used 3 coats for full opacity in this one, and I think if you have smoother nails you’ll be set. Even though this shade is so beautiful and fun, I unfortunately did have some streaks hanging on after that 3rd coat. They’re not super noticeable, but it’s something to keep in mind if your nails are also ridged.

The name ‘Knee High Stock-blings’ does trip my brain up every time I read it but kudos for trying out a pun there. This is a dusty almost coral orange base filled with scattered silver flakes all throughout. It’s an interesting color to describe, and I do think it’ll be a little shapeshifter, pulling more orange or pink depending on your undertones.
This was another more squishy formula, being uneven on the 1st coat, but it easily builds up with a 2nd coat. That squish gives it that lovely little shine and I always love a more unique color like this. I could see this shade also being gorgeous with a matte top coat, really bringing out those scattered little sparkles.

‘OPI’m a Supermodel’ finally takes us off the orange train and on into green, being a deeper cooler toned green. The temperatures have dipped and it’s finally fall here and it all feels so cozy on the nails.
Being a deeper shade, it goes back to the same formulas as ‘Lip Hot Liner’ and ‘Nail Prep Rally’, so it’s more uneven on the 1st coat but is easily opaque with a 2nd. I have no complaints.

We do have a green from each set to compare, but they’re two different flavors. ‘OPI’m a Supermodel’ looks so much more saturated when it’s next to ‘Cargo All Out’, and it’s looking almost more yellow-green.

‘Totally Tu-blue-ar’, of course, has the most fun name and we should really keep getting silly like this for the names. This shade is also totally rad, being a soft dusty sky blue shade. It has almost warm putty moments to it (if you know what I mean, like a beige-y gray that’s the color of fixing putty). Those tones really makes it softer and lovely for the autumn season.
Once again we have that squish to it, but this one is feeling more pigmented than previous shades, aligning it to the formula of the 1st two shades. I did still have some streaks after the 1st coat, but a 2nd easily covered and made it fully smooth and lovely.

Once again we have another comparison and it’s been interesting to see that a lot of the polishes have a matching counterpart in the other formula. They’ve been similar, yet a tiny bit different so you can really pick the shade that’s “perfect” for you. For instance ‘Totally Tu-blue-ar’ is much warmer and more dusty than ‘Baggy Jean Baby’, so if a warmer blue is better for your undertones, pick ‘Totally Tu-blue-ar’.

‘Get in Platform-ation’ just makes me think of Beyonce and not platform shoes, and maybe that’s the 2000s millennial in me. This shade is a deeper gray toned blue base filled with scattered silver sparkles, just like gazing up into the autumn night sky.
I’m repeating myself here as this has a more sheer and uneven first coat, but a 2nd coat comes in and builds it up to full opacity. Those sparkles are more delicate than the ones in ‘Knee High Stock-blings’ and I love the look of them contrasting against the deeper base.

This is one that doesn’t have as close of a pair as others, but I did still want to show it next to ‘Baby Tee-l’, as you can see those warmer green notes pop in both. These shades are more distant cousins, and obviously that means it’s fine to have both.

We can’t let a fall collection go by without a purple and this one is especially ’90s, being called ‘My Berry Janes’. This one is of course, purple, but it also has a warmer berry toned base filled with a lovely silver shimmer.
On the first coat you can really see those warmer pink tones peeking through. But with that 2nd coat the color really deepens up and pulls on over to the purple of the bottle. It’s fully opaque after just 2 coats and that shimmer is a little more subtle, but still adds a dimension to the polish.

When I saw this next shade I immediately knew it was going to be a favorite for me. This is ‘Track Suited Cutie’ and listen, I did love the moment of the track suit, it was so unserious, and we should bring it back. This shade is an almost rosy brown taupe jelly base filled with scattered gold flakes. The finish overall is similar to ‘Knee High Stock-blings’.
This is one of the most sheer 1st coats of the set, and it does look very different from the final shade in the bottle, so be prepared and don’t give up after that 1st coat. It builds up well with a 2nd coat, but I did end up adding a 3rd coat as the color still continued to deepen and layer. It’s a nice little neutral and I really enjoyed it, and I’m willing to do 3 coats for this shade.

We’re getting down to our final shades and next we have a soft little neutral. This is ‘A Total Suzi’, which only reminds me of Clueless and Cher calling someone ‘a total Monet’. Now, Clueless did come out in 1995, so are you referencing true cinema, OPI? My brain is just all movie quotes. Anyways, ‘Suzi’ is a warm sandy beige shade and that warmth is not the best on my skintone and makes my hands look very red, but not every polish has to be for everyone!
This had a good 1st coat, being more pigmented than I expected for a lighter, almost white-based shade, but I did still have some streaks peeking through. A 2nd coat comes in and smooths it all out and it’s a perfect neutral polish to balance out all of these bold shades.

***
And last but certainly not least, we have some ‘Belly Button Bling’. Though it’s an accessory I could never get for myself, I do love this polish, a cool toned gray base with scattered silver shimmers all throughout. This has the same finish as ‘Get in Platform-ation’, with the more delicate glitter.
It has the same formula as that shade as well, being more sheer on the 1st coat but easily building up to full opacity with a 2nd. I always love a gray polish so this one has my heart, and it’s a great way to finish out the collection.
Belly Button Bling – Live Swatch

They’re different finishes but I did still want to show the two grays side by side. As you can see easily ‘Belly Button Bling’ is much deeper with that scattered sparkle, but you can never have too many gray nail polishes.

And that’s the set! Overall we had some more sheer 1st coats here, which I believe comes from that Infinite Shine formula, but most easily covered and were still fully opaque with just 2 coats. There were lovely colors here, and I really had no complaints about formulas, especially with the shine they dried with. In the end, it’ll depend on if the higher price of the Infinite Shine formula is worth it to you!
Would you pick any of these shades up?
