OPI ‘Good Enough to Treat’ Winter 2025 Collection – Swatches & Review

Omg hi there! It’s getting HOT and humid (we truly have some thick air) here in Chicago, so obviously it’s the perfect time to dip back into winter with some icy polishes, right? If you haven’t seen other posts, I’m still on my journey of catching up with posting OPI reviews, and we’ve made it to the final season of 2025.

The OPI Winter release for this year was called ‘Good Enough to Treat’, and it’s a set of 12 shades that OPI says is inspired by classic holiday treats. Each shade is either sparkly or absolutely juicy on the nails, so I definitely get the candy dish inspiration

As always, these beautiful shades can either be purchased from PolishPick or from Beyond Polish (if shopping from Beyond Polish you can use my code GingerlyPolished for 10% off items – it is an affiliate code so I would earn a small little commission from it if used, no pressure if that makes you uncomfy!!)

No need for me to yap too much more, I’ll let the shades and swatches speak for themselves! Let’s get on into it.

***

First up we start with a polish with a truly sweet name, ‘Lollypoppin’ Bubblegum’, and my teeth are tingling just reading that. This shade is a bright fuchsia pink jelly filled with an icy blue shimmer all throughout, looking exactly like some hard candy.

The formula is a little squishy to let that shimmer peek through, but it’s still pigmented and bright. It’s easily opaque with 2 coats, with the 2nd coat coming in to brighten that color up even more. It was smooth and lovely and a fun start to our holiday!

Well of course any holiday collection, especially from OPI, will need a juicy red polish (or 2). This first one is ‘Spread the Cherry’ and it’s truly a cherry red jelly base filled with a golden shimmer. And we can’t get more holiday than a red and gold combination.

I always say OPI knows how to do a red polish, and this one continues to uphold that standard. This had a gorgeous first coat. The 2nd coat comes in to fully build up that color and deepen it up to full opacity, and voilà, you’re ready for any sort of holiday party.

Listen, maybe you don’t want sparkle, maybe you want only red and NO SPARKLE. Don’t worry, OPI has that covered as well, all of your holiday wants are VALID. Then the shade for you will be ‘Red Velvet Vixen’ and while this base color is very similar to ‘Spread the Cherry’ above, it’s instead in a squishy crelly formula.

Crellies like this can be sheer but I found this one to be much more pigmented so it has a great 1st coat with just a few streaks to it. The 2nd coat comes in and evens out any patches and just makes your nails all deep and sultry.

Continuing right along we then have ‘Star-zipan on the Tree’. I would call this a warm chocolate cream shade, but there might be the tiniest touch of deep burgundy to it, so it can be a distant cousin with the red shades above. Everyone’s welcome at the holidays. That warmth just really makes it so cozy on the nails, and I love a shade like this for the cooler months.

This is one of OPI’s cream formulas that has a drop of squish to it, making it a touch streaky on the 1st coat. But a 2nd comes in and easily covers it and makes it fully opaque and beautiful.

Now we’re getting into some sparkles and the polishes with more unique finishes, and this shall be the section where I thrive. First up we have ‘Ginger Snapped’ and as a redhead listen I love anything Ginger. (But why are we ginger, when the color of actual ginger plants would more correlate to blonde? Time to ponder.) Anyways, this one gives the vibe of more gingerbread cookies, being a rich rusty brown base filled with golden flakes all throughout. It can have a more rosy warm tone to it as well, so okay more ginger.

This has a gorgeous formula, being rich and pigmented and easy to paint onto the nails. It’s opaque in almost one coat, with a 2nd covering any last patches. And it just feels like holiday to me.

The holiday magic continues with ‘Nougat by Nature’, with it being that classic brighter and more yellow golden shimmer. If you’re staring at it deeply, you can almost see little sparkles of copper to it as well, putting it right in between a copper and a gold. It all comes together to feel like a sparkling little ornament.

There is some sheerness in that base, which allows all of that shimmer to show through but it does almost make for a more sheer 1st coat. But the 2nd coat pleasantly surprised me and comes in to really build it up and makes the polish opaque. It’s so fun and sparkly on the nails – perfect for any sort of celebration.

And now this next shade, which I know is going to be a crowd favorite. This is ‘Yuletide Sweetings!’ and it’s a GORGEOUS deep forest green jelly base just jam-packed with a brighter turquoise glitter. That base is definitely pulling more to the green side of the spectrum, which makes sense, we have to get a little bit of a Christmas tree in there.

Like other previous shades, it’s definitely more sheer on the 1st coat, and as you’re painting it on that base color can almost look black on its own. That 2nd coat is where that shimmer will really start to come alive and bring out that turquoise color. Depending on your application, you might be set there, but I did choose to add one more coat to further layer up that sparkle and base. And just LOOK at it. I personally love that it’s not a true green as that can get repetitive in holiday collections, but it can also pull more year round.

Now we leave any sort of green behind and go full BLUE. This is ‘Havin’ a Candy Ol’ Time’ and that is how I would describe the holiday season for myself. This shade is a rich cobalt cream shade and while you can really see the blue in my bright lights, in more indirect lighting it’s another that can look almost black on the nails.

It’s a touch patchy on that 1st coat, which can sometimes happen with such rich shades like this, but luckily a 2nd coat comes in and evens everything out and makes it fully opaque. Also for being such a rich shade, I had no issues with staining my cuticles or my nails as well!

Now we move on into a pair of purples. First up is ‘Berry and Bright’, and as I’m sure you might have guessed, this is in fact a berry shade. It’s a warmer jelly base filled with larger pink and purple sparkles, and do those sparkles capture the holiday mood, or am I just saying that for every single glitter.

Of course being a jelly base, it is more sheer and requires building up. It’s pretty good with 2 coats, but I did add a 3rd as I felt there were some uneven little patches still. It’s a lovely little polish and I feel like a great little crowd pleaser as well!

The other shade continues almost hiding that purple, but this time it’s being overtaken by a strong golden shimmer. ‘Butter Me Up Toffee’ has a soft, almost lilac purple base underneath all of that gold. With that shimmer combining with the purple, the polish takes on an almost toffee brown finish, but it’s also shifty and sparkly.

Once again we have a jelly base to let the sparkle show through, so it’s a more sheer 1st coat but builds up well with 2 coats.

You can really see that more coppery-toffee look to the shimmer in more indirect lighting.

We’re on into our final pair of shades now, baby. First up we have ‘Tempted to Lick-orice’ and based on what I’ve heard about black licorice, I’m not actually tempted by it at all. But I do love this shade at least. This one is a black jelly base filled with a contrasting silver shimmer – a combination you can never go wrong with.

Like other shades with a shimmer, that base is a touch sheer so the first coat is a little uneven. But you’ll see it really build up with that 2nd coat and get to full opacity.

Last but certainly not least is ‘OPI’m Frosted’, and of course we needed a silver in a holiday collection. This shade might have a clear base, or just the very, very lightest gray jelly base just filled with this icy silvery shimmer as well as larger little blue sparkles all throughout. When it’s built up, you see more of that blue tone and it really makes it feel icy and wintery on the nails.

Since it’s a dense shimmer with not much color to the base, it is more sheer than the other jellies and needs more layering. It’s pretty well good on 2 coats, though I did add a 3rd to further build up that sparkle. It’ll depend on your own preferences and love of sparkle.

And that’s the set! Overall I enjoyed this holiday collection! We had some familiar tones, as well as some more interesting finishes, so there’s a little something for everyone in here. I had no issues with formulas in this set – there’s a lot of sparkle that needs to be a little more layered up, but everything’s opaque with 2-3 thin coats. They’re smooth to paint on, and I think any of these shades will add a lovely little moment to your holiday season.

Are you picking any of these up?
