WE’VE MADE IT. We’re finally reviewing the final OPI collection of 2025! I’ve been in the depths of the great blog catchup here, and while I still have so many reviews to get up, I wanted to give myself a more attainable goal to start. And that start was the OPI collections. They’re always the most popular posts on my blog, so the least I could do was catch up the history and get timely. This is the final one (of last year), so we’re now in the current year, it’s all a big deal to me. It’s helping me to feel more motivated and accomplished, and I’ll be able to continue to chip away at the pile of other reviews just waiting for me.
But back to OPI, let’s talk about this winter collection! This continues the ‘Good Enough to Treat’ theme for Winter 2025. OPI always drops a 2 part collection for each season, with 12 lacquer shades and then 12 different Infinite Shine shades. I always review the regular lacquer collection first so feel free to click on over to that post to see those shades (and then come back here too, please and thank you).
I’m going to give the same spiel about the Infinite Shine line that I have in my other posts if you’re unfamiliar with it. “The Infinite Shine shades are the ones with the silver caps instead of black, and they run a few dollars more per shade than the regular lacquer. They’re more expensive as OPI claims they’re a long lasting formula that can deliver up to 11 days of “gel-like” wear. These are not gel shades, just gel-like. (If it’s a true gel formula, it’ll be in an opaque bottle as light can cure it). As always, I swatch so often that I can’t fully speak to the longevity. So I’ll be reviewing these shades by color and application, and from there you can make a purchasing decision! In the end you decide what to do with your own money!”
These are still available on the Beyond Polish website, so you can still pick them up, even here in 2026! (If you do shop through Beyond Polish you can use code GingerlyPolished for 10% off! It is an affiliate code so I would earn a small commission, so absolutely no pressure if that makes you uncomfortable).
Now let’s get on into the swatches!
***
We start right out with the GLITTER, just to give you a whole vibe of how this set. I notice that often OPI will pick a “special” formula for a set and that’ll show up in a couple shades throughout the collection. For this Infinite Shine set we have the chunky glitters.
So this first shade is ‘Candy 4 My Sweet Tart’ and it’s the first of a few chunky glitters. This one is a bright pink fuchsia jelly base just filled with a ton of pink shimmer as well as those larger silver metallic glitter pieces.
Of the chunky glitters in this collection, this one definitely has the smoothest and most opaque finish of them all, being most easily worn on it’s own. You’ll see that pink jelly base is definitely more pigmented, with the 2nd coat really layering on those glitters and making it fully opaque. Now the ones in these are the smallest of the glitters, but it’s still a tiny bit sandy on the nails, so a good top coat will help smooth it all out.

It’s never an OPI holiday collection without a red, and no it wasn’t enough to have it in the regular lacquer collection, we need on in the Infinite Shine formula too!! More reds!! If you somehow don’t yet have a true cream red from OPI shades, ‘Gumdrop Tha Ball’ does have that covered. (And yes it is ‘Tha’ instead of ‘The’, I don’t know if this is another moment of them trying to be hip with the kids or if it’s a reference I’m missing, but it does feel a tiny bit cringey). This shade is a true cherry red, with that blue toned base to it. It’s so rich and warm on the nails and just gorgeous all around.
And this is that classic amazing OPI red formula and it’s almost opaque in just 1 coat. I used a 2nd coat to even out any last little patches, but it’s smooth and so lovely to paint on. It does dry with a good amount of shine which could be attributed to that Infinite Shine formula.

With the Infinite Shine reviews, I like to compare any shades from the regular lacquer formula that might be close, or are at least in the same color family to have as a reference. Then you can see for yourself and decide with your own color preferences
You can see these two are pretty different but like I mentioned these will hit two different color preferences. ‘Red Velvet Vixen’ in the lacquer formula is deeper and much more of a crelly-jelly finish, while ‘Gumdrop’ looks even brighter next to it.

If you’re not quite ready to give up fall and want something a little warmer, next is ‘Crankin’ Holiday Jams’. This shade still falls within the red family, but it’s instead a more brick red orange-toned moment. It’s not the true orangey reds of traditional fall releases, so it still feels more holiday.
This was another with a very pigmented formula and it was practically opaque in just 1 coat. A 2nd coat covers any last patches and it once again dries more shiny on the nails even without a top coat.

I wanted to also show this one next to ‘Red Velvet Vixen’, which almost falls perfectly in between ‘Gumdrop’ above and ‘Holiday Jams’ in terms of color. Next to ‘Vixen’, a true red, you can see more of those red tones pop out.

‘I’m a Natural Gingerbread’ is how I respond when people ask me about my hair color. YES I will continue to make these references to my red hair every time, after all you’re on a blog called GINGERLY POLISHED. For how many jokes I heard growing up, I deserve this. Just like I deserve this GORGEOUS nail polish (you see that segue). This one is of course an orange, but it’s a bright super fiery almost red-toned orange that’s filled with an insane shimmer.
This has more of a jelly base to allow that shimmer to really show through, so the first coat is a little bit sheer and uneven. But the 2nd coat comes in and layers up the color and shimmer and makes it fully opaque and it just POPS on the nails.

We have another more unique shade next, so it’s of course one I immediately loved. This is ‘Have a Brittle Fun’ and I LOVE nonconventional seasonal colors. And the depth of this shade still makes it feel tuned into the holidays. This is an almost olive toned, coppery shimmery yellow, maybe it’s brown, it’s hard to fully nail down the color. It has a golden shimmer running all throughout it which just gives it a little glow.
This one again has more of a jelly base to allow the shimmer to peek out, so as always it’s a little uneven on that 1st coat. But a 2nd coat really builds it up and makes it pop and that shimmer is just STUNNING. I really liked this one a lot, can you tell?

And now to compare the two “golds” of the sets! As you can see they’re very different so again they can fit very different moods. ‘Nougat by Nature’ is that lighter, more yellow glittery gold while you can see how deep and almost olive toned ‘Have a Brittle Fun’ is.

I know you had forgotten about them, but we get back into those chunky glitters with this next shade. This one is called ‘Sugarlips on My Tips’ and this one is much more a topper, having a clear base filled with white gold glitters all throughout.
As mentioned this one is more of a topper – you can see the more scattered application with the first coat in the video. I did also choose to build it up with 3 coats to show how opaque it can get. After 3 coats, there is still nail peeking through, but I think it can still be a fun holiday look! But keep in mind litters like this can be harder to remove, especially when built up on their own, so I would recommend a peel off base coat or soaking it off with cotton balls and clips.

‘Hang the Mintsell’ is the teal version of ‘Sugarlips on my Tips’. It’s another chunkier glitter in a clear base, instead in a turquoise color.
Keeping this one short and sweet because as I mentioned it’s just like the shade above! It will be good used as a topper, while built up with 3 coats on it’s own will give a more sparkly look. A closeup in my bright lighting does make it look more sparse built up, but it will be harder to notice in normal indirect lighting.

‘Sneak-a-Blue Candy’ (is that supposed to be a play on Peek-a-boo? Just noting, very interesting) is most definitely BLUE. This shade has a deep blue jelly base that’s filled with a glowing bright blue shimmer.
Because it’s a jelly base, of course it is more uneven and sheer for that 1st coat. But the 2nd coat really brings it alive, layering up that deeper base color that really helps that bright shimmer contrast and pop. It has a smooth, opaque finish and it’s just gorgeous! This one can dry with some brush lines because of that shimmer, so painting straight will help that look out as well.
Sneak-a-Blue Candy – Live Swatch

These 2 are very different but I did still want to show the pair of blues next to each other. ‘Havin’ a Candy Ol’ Time’ is a deeper navy cream while ‘Sneak-a-Blue Candy’ has some more warmth to it. But I do love that both names reference candy, apparently BLUE is the color of sweetness.

Now these next two shades are FUN and I always love seeing holographic sparkle in mainstream releases.
The first one is ‘Put the Icy in Spicy’ (again a very interesting name choice) and it’s a light icy blue scattered holographic. These two shades will have more of a jelly base that lets that sparkle peek on through so it does take some building up. It’s pretty well opaque in just 2 coats, though I did choose to add a 3rd coat to further layer it on up and build up that effect.
This will gorgeous and sparkly in indirect lighting, but in bright lights or sunlight you’ll really see that holographic effect SHINE and get those shifting rainbows on your nails. I’ll never get tired of holo, no matter the intensity.

And the pink sibling to that shade above is ‘Pinkish Delight’ (commenting here about how the Turkish Delight in the Chronicles of Narnia movie looked like the most delicious thing in the world that we would all trade our families for, and that’s all I’m thinking of for the name). This is that same scattered holographic finish instead in a soft, almost purple toned ballet pink shade.
Just like the other one it has a more squishy base that needed to be built up. Most can be good with just 2 coats, but if you’re using a thinner application, you might want a 3rd coat.

***
Now we get to the last chunky glitter of the set. This is ‘A Lil Suga & Spice’ and it’s a deep purple version of the very first shade ‘Candy 4 My Sweet Tart’. This one features a berry toned bright purple jelly base filled with larger purple metallic glitters all throughout.
They are very similar formulas, but this shade does look a little more textured in finish than ‘Candy’ and it just might be the contrast in color between the base and glitter pieces. It builds up well with 2 coats, but I did add a 3rd coat and found the base color continued to deepen and layer up. It dries with a semi-textured finish, but a coat of top coat will help smooth it all out.

Last but certainly not least for this set, we have ‘Marshmelloooo So Sweet’ and it truly is so sweet. This is a clear base filled with a shifty iridescent shimmer that shows as a bright minty green flash.
This is another that would be a gorgeous topper, especially over a deeper base polish, but of course I wanted to show it built up with 3 coats as well. With 3 coats there is nail line, but it’s a smooth finish and could be a more subtle fun nail look.
Marshmellooo So Sweet – Live Swatch

This shimmer is also so shifty, especially in more indirect lighting, going from that clear base with a minty shimmer on over to a bright purple with a teal flash. It’s a fun little moment!

***
And that’s the set! We have some interesting and different colors and finishes here that I haven’t seen in other holiday sets, and I do always love when we get a little something different. We also do not have any dupes or similar shades between the regular lacquer shades and Infinite Shine, so you have 24 holiday shades to choose from if you they hit your preferences. I had no issues with formulas in this set, and they all performed how I expected!
Are any of these shades catching your eye?
