Essie Winter 2021 Collection – Swatches & Review

Does it not feel like winter or Christmas-time to any of you? Maybe it’s the 60 degree weather we’re about to get in December or the absolute LACK OF SNOW, absolutely unheard of here in Chicago. But I’m not feeling the true holiday mood.

And well if you’re looking for some untraditional holiday colors, well look no further! Today we’re looking at the Essie Winter collection for 2021. This features 6 shades as always, with 4 creams and 2 metallics. And we have some BRIGHT cream shades to look at, with a coral read, a peachy orange and a warm pink. Like I said, untraditional here, but if y’all want to wear orange in the winter, who am I to ever stop you.

I grabbed these from my local Ulta – I can no longer find them on my love Polishpick.com, as I believe they’ve changed up their distribution. Curse you Essie and making me pay full price. IT’S FINE. Anyways, why don’t we get on into the swatches, eh?

Glam Polish ‘Charmed’ Collection Shades – Swatches & Review

We have a new-to-me brand on the blog today! Glam Polish was so kind to reach out and see if I wanted to try out some of their polishes and I said yes! PR is great as it allows me to try out brands that might not have originally been on my radar – mainly due to budgeting. I can’t buy every single polish myself (and I already buy so many), so I fully appreciate being sent some shades to test out and give my thoughts on.

And as always, I give my same PR spiel to these brands before accepting – just because I was gifted these, I had no obligations to post, and I never promise positive reviews. I review them just the same as I would if I had bought them myself and to the same standards. It’s always my honest thoughts, and I would never give that up for you all!

Alright spiel over – let’s talk about these shades! These are from their collection inspired by the show Charmed. There are 10 shades total, and I have 5 of them here to show. You can purchase them off the Glam Polish website for $12.50 each.

Now I’ll admit, I’ve never watched Charmed (please forgive me) so I won’t know the full references of the names or how well they “fit”. But I can always just saw how they perform and how they look to me. Let’s get into the polishes!

China Glaze ‘Jewels Royale’ Winter 2021 Collection – Swatches & Review

It’s time to look at MORE WINTER RELEASES, Y’ALL. More SPARKLE, more SHIMMER, more GLITTER, my FAVORITE THINGS.

Okay I’ll stop now.

Anyways, trying to get better at updating my blog more regularly. As I always say I post these polishes and swatches first on Instagram so I definitely recommend following there to see things! But I’ll always get the accompanying blog posts up so you can reference them whenever. Now let’s get the rest of these winter polishes reviews up shall we!

Today we’re looking at the China Glaze release. This is the ‘Jewels Royale’ collection for Winter 2021. They describe this collection as “Sparkle like a jewel. Lavish yourself with mesmerizing holiday hues that capture the brilliance of the most luxurious gems.” And I have to agree. We have a lot of rich jewel tones here and no end to the sparkle.

This is an 8 bottle release – I would say that’s becoming the norm for them, but the summer and fall collections were 6 polishes, so I know nothing. BUT what I do know is that I always buy China Glaze from my absolute favorite polishpick.com. Always the best prices on their polishes and incredibly fast shipping! I’ve talked about them 17 million times in other posts, so clearly I trust them and use them regularly.

Orly ‘Momentary Wonders’ Winter 2021 Collection – Swatches/Review

We’re continuing right along with the holiday collections here, we’re DEEP into winter polishes now and there’s no going back.

Today we’re looking at the Orly release! This is the ‘Momentary Wonders’ collection and it features 6 super shimmery and sparkly shades. I got this with my Orly Color Pass which I’ve talked about a million times before. But if you’re new here, the Color Pass is a deal where you pay a full cost up front (or they recently added where you can pay for each box separately as well! Exciting!), and then throughout the year, the 4 seasonal Orly collections get shipper to you. Each box also always contains extra goodies as well – this box came with a nice sturdy hair clip and an extra polish!

Normally I always say these boxes are fantastic if you’re like me and looking to purchase all of the polishes anyways – it’s a great deal for that. But now especially that you can order one box at a time, that’s even better and you can try it out and see how you like it without the commitment!

OPI ‘Celebration’ Winter 2021 Collection – Swatches & Review

IT’S TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS! Well, at least nail polish. It’s time for holiday nail polish. I’m a person who doesn’t allow full Christmas until December 1st, but you know, the nail polish world doesn’t wait.

But that’s right, we’re diving into our first holiday collections here on the blog! We have a lot of glitter and sparkle and shimmer on the way. And as always, we have to start out with my love, OPI. This is the ‘Celebration’ Collection for Winter 2021. It features 12 shades in a “core” release, and then 3 glitter toppers, so 15 polishes total. That’s right we have 15 polishes to talk about today, so I’ll keep it short up here.
