Zoya ‘Dreamin’ Summer 2021 Collection – Swatches & Review

We’re continuing right along with the blog backlog! These collections have been up on my Instagram for a while, but of course I wanted to get the corresponding blog posts up as well! I still like to get these up even if it’s been a while so there’s a later reference to come back! These aren’t limited edition shades, so anytime you might want to look them up and grab them, you’ll have this to look at. And it can be hard to scroll through posts on Instagram to find specific shades, so that’s where the blog posts come in. Alright enough rambling about why, let’s just get into the post!

Zoya recently released their Easy Neons collection, but it wasn’t their full summer release, so we got another 6 piece collection for that! This is the ‘Dreamin’ collection, and it features 6 shades for Summer 2021. It has a range of more corals, pinks, purples and blues. As always I did grab this off of the Zoya website in a nice little bundle deal that included the wide brushes. (Side note: can Zoya make these normal, or an option to have them automatically included? I have so many skinny brushes just saved up from switching over that I just don’t know what to do with. ANYONE ELSE? Okay I’m done with that.)

Let’s get into the swatches!

Color Club ‘Juice Boost’ 2021 Collection – Swatches & Review

WHOOPS, long time no post! Definitely didn’t mean to “abandon” the blog, but here we are again, and let’s catch up on some posts, shall we? No matter what I’m always posting on my Instagram regularly, so I recommend that if you want to keep up with posts and see swatches right away. And obviously, I know these have already been up on Instagram for a while, but I do still like to get them up on the blog no matter how long it’s been. I know it’s helpful to others, and since these aren’t limited edition, they can be a resource for a long while! And it can be easier to find than sifting through my Instagram. OKAY.

Alright, let’s just get right into it since it’s been long enough, shall we!

***

Of course, we have some more Color Club to talk about! If you’ve been around this blog for any length of time, you’ll know I absolutely love Color Club, and I basically automatically buy whatever they come out, okay. They drop a lot of collections, so I like to imagine I’m your guide, taking your hand through all of the Color Club releases.

The release we’re talking about today is the ‘Juice Boost’ collection. It’s a collection of 6 bright, saturated colorful cream shades, perfect for summer. And as I always say, Color Club does a lot of sales giving anywhere from 30-50% off, so be sure to follow their Instagram or sign up for their mailing list to get notified of these. It was during a sale that I grabbed these bad boys, and we always love deals.

So let’s get right into the swatches!

OPI ‘Malibu’ Summer 2021 Collection – Swatches & Review

It’s my favorite time of the season and that’s A NEW OPI COLLECTION! OPI is always the most exciting release for my Instagram, and blog, and when I get the most traffic, so I’m always so excited to share a new collection with you all! Let’s get right into it!

For Summer 2021, OPI’s collection is ‘Malibu’. (I believe for their 40th year anniversary they’re doing all California themed collections, but don’t fully quote me on that). OPI describes it as “12 colors inspired by the iconic beaches of the Malibu coastline”. This collection is definitely different from the others I’ve reviewed so far and features a half neutral, half colorful offering. There are 6 beige & brown shades, and then 6 more colorful shades.

We have a mix of creams, some shimmers, and a more jelly finish!

OPI ‘Malibu’ Summer 2021

As always, I grabbed this from my favorite place, polishpick.com. They have the cheapest prices for OPI and the fastest shipping! I’ve been ordering from them for YEARS now. If you pick up any shades, be sure to mention I sent you! (I receive no commission or anything, I just absolutely love them, and it lets them know where traffic is coming from. I do receive a discount on ordering the shades, but overall I still pay for them with my own money.) They offer this collection in regular lacquer, Infinite Shine, and Gel Color.

Let’s get right into the swatches already, I know that’s what you’re here for!

Orly x Kelli Marissa Trio 2021 – Swatches & Review

Today we’re looking at the newest collaboration with Orly and Kelli Marissa! If you don’t know, Kelli is a pretty well known nail polish YouTuber. She does lots of swatches as well as easy nail art! And now she’s collaborated with Orly, one of my favorite mainstream brands for a trio of space-themed shades. They’re all super shimmery and glittery and shifty shades.

They have labels complete with Kelli’s handwriting sharing the shade name, as well as her name on the bottles as well. I do love when there’s a special little touch like that for a special collection! These were available on the Orly website for $12 each, or in a bundle of 3 shades for $32. These are more expensive than a traditional Orly shade, which retail for $9.50. But it’s something that happens with special releases and collaborations!

Now, I do realize it’s been a while since these released, and this blog post is behind, and most of the shades are sold out at this point. But I have a rule with myself of “no blog post unpublished”. I like to just get these swatches up anyways, as a nice reference for myself, and for you in the future! Maybe you run across these shades in a destash, and are still looking for swatches. Or it’s just fun to look back on previous years’ releases and collaborations. Either way I still wanted to get this post up with these absolutely lovely shades!

Now let’s get into the swatches!

Essie ‘Tangerine Tease’ Summer 2021 Collection – Swatches & Review

Essie has been doing this thing in the past couple years of releasing about 22 collections a year, and it can definitely be hard to keep up with, or hard to keep interest! I didn’t even review all of the collections last year, and I don’t even go into their additional lines as well. But I’ll always review and be excited about their 4 normal seasonal drops!

Essie gave us another Summer 2021 release to look at today! This is I believe the ‘Tangerine Tease’ collection, and it’s Essie’s traditional 6 bottle release. We have some creams, some shimmers and one almost metallic glitter! It’s also a different color palette than we’ve seen from the neons of other brands! I’m enjoying seeing what color palettes each company releases for the season!

As always, I purchased these from polishpick.com – you know my spiel, they have the best discounted prices on new mainstream collections, and super fast shipping! I love them, and I’ll always talk them up as I’ve ordered from them for YEARS. (And as always, if you purchase from them be sure to let them know I sent you! I receive no commission from this, it just allows her to see where traffic is coming from, and in turn I get a discount on the collections I purchase to review for you!)

Alright let’s get right into the swatches!

Orly ‘Electric Escape’ Summer 2021 Collection – Swatches & Review

We’re continuing right along with the BRIGHTS.

Today we’re looking at the next summer collection on the docket, and it’s from one of my favorite, and I still believe underrated brands, Orly. Now Orly’s summer collection last year had some absolutely stunning neons and brights in it so I expected no different from this one. And I was not disappointed!

As always, I received this as part of my Orly Color Pass. I’ve talked about Orly Color Pass many times before and how much I love it! But just in case you’re new here, I’ll give another quick rundown. The Color Pass is where you pay a fee up front ($119) and then over the course of the year after you sign up, you receive 4 of Orly’s seasonal collections. The boxes are automatically mailed out to you as they release, and show up on your doorstep. And each box always contains extra goodies – like this box contained a full size of their Bonder base coat! I always say it’s a great deal if you’re like me and already planning to buy all of their collections anyways. Or it’s perfect if you’re looking to expand your collection and get more polishes! Orly has really been impressing me with their formulas lately, and they’re great at coming out with different finishes and formulas.

So that’s my spiel, definitely check out the website and you can sign up if you’re interested! Right now you’ll receive this summer collection as your first box!

Alright, let’s get right into this collection! It’s an absolutely stunning color story and I love how the colors all look together. And you’ll see they’re absolutely beautiful formulas. Let’s get right into it already!

China Glaze ‘Havana Nights’ Summer 2021 Collection – Swatches & Review

Listen, after the struggles I had with the Zoya Neons, I was ready for some true cream neons. (There was nothing wrong with the Zoyas, they just didn’t truly scratch that neon itch). And boy howdy, thank god the China Glaze summer release came THROUGH for us.

This is the ‘Havana Nights’ collection for Summer 2021, and oh my, it’s absolutely stunning. It has those neon shades I always crave in warmer weather (I say as its currently 45 degrees outside, listen the warmer weather is COMING, I SWEAR). It features 6 rich and saturated cream shades, including some beautiful neons.

As always, I purchased this collection from my favorite, Polishpick.com. If you’ve been here for a while, you know I love them for the mainstream brands, and they always have the best prices and fastest shipping. I highly recommend them. (And let them know I sent you!)

We have some beautiful and bright shades to look at, so let’s just get right into it!

Zoya ‘Easy Neons’ 2021 Collection – Swatches & Review

This is a long post full of a lot of thoughts, so I won’t ramble at the beginning!

Today we’re looking at the newest release from Zoya. They’re called the ‘Easy Neons’ and as you can probably guess, it’s 6 shades of neon polishes. In 2016 Zoya released a collection called the Ultra Brites, which was their version of a neon release. I wasn’t fully into polish at that point, so I didn’t have them myself – but based on other blogs and reviews of them, they were streaky and required a white base to even really show up. Not great. So when Zoya released these, they promised a new and improved neon formula, basically a step up from the Ultra Brites. They also automatically come with their wide brushes to make application even easier and smoother. Normally you have to buy the wide brushes separately and switch them out – I really wish there was an option to not have to do this, I have boxes of their old skinny brushes that I feel weird just throwing away. ANYWAYS.

They had a pre-order deal where they were a touch discounted, and also included more of their remover, so I went ahead and purchased. I was also so intrigued myself to try out this neon formula and see what I thought. It retails on the Zoya website for $66 for the whole set or each polish is $11. They are $1 more than their normal polishes, I’m assuming because of the pigments needed.

And do I have a lot of thoughts here. Buckle in, let’s discuss, I go over it ALL.

Holo Taco ‘Unicorn Dreams’ Collection – Swatches & Review

Listen, I’ve just put on Braveheart so I think it’s a perfect time to catch up on some blog posts. I’ve been doing a hefty amount of swatching lately, so it’s time to put out the accompanying review posts! (As always, you can follow my Instagram to see swatches as they come out as well!) Alright, I’m trying to be less wordy since I know people just want to get right into the review, so let’s do it!

Holo Taco is truly a brand that I wish I had unlimited money so I could buy every single release, but since I don’t, every so often I’m just like SCREW IT, TREAT MYSELF, and I hit add to cart. (If you didn’t know, it’s the brand of Cristine, of SimplyNailogical fame on Instagram and YouTube. So kind of an indie, but I consider it a touch more mainstream at this point). And there was something about this one that tickled my fancy so I had to have it. There have been 2 more releases since this one, a trio of creams, and then a pastel rainbow linear collection (which hoo boy do I want that one).

This is the ‘Unicorn Dreams’ release and it features 2 creams, and adds 3 more Unicorn Skin toppers to her previous 3. I had been wanting to try the Unicorn Skins anyways, and then these 2 creams were just stunning so it got me good. This bundle is still available on the Holo Taco website for $55, or the creams (or cremes as they are called on the website) retail for $11 each and the toppers for $13 each. (If you’re not sure what a Unicorn Skin topper it, it’s explained down below near the swatches!).

Let’s get into the swatches!

Color Club ‘Jersey Girl’ Collection – Swatches & Review

This is slowly just becoming a Color Club blog and listen, I’m not mad at it. (Not really, I’ll always be swatching other mainstream brands). Instead of doing seasonal quarterly releases like other brands, Color Club likes to do this thing where they drop like 4 collections at a time randomly. They truly have my heart, so I’m here to be your guide, and take your hand through all of the different collections and releases. Let me lead you, my friends. I don’t see a ton of others reviewing these shades, and I consider them super underrated! So I’m here to be the one to sift through them all for you.

We looked at the Parisian Garden collection earlier, and this collection dropped right afterwards. This is the ‘Jersey Girl’ collection and while Parisian Garden had more softer, spring shades, this has bright and and saturated summer shades. It’s a collection of 6 creams.

These are available on the Color Club website for $8.50 each. THOUGH I always say, you never have to wait too long for a sale (in fact, at the time of writing this post, they have 40% off sitewide). There are also a ton of influencers that have 20% off codes. AND be sure to sign up for their rewards! You get points for each purchase that add up pretty quickly to $10 and even $25 off. This all to say, you never have to pay full price for a Color Club polish if you’re smart. And that’s how I’m able to get all of these collections to swatch for you!

Alright enough yammering, let’s get into the swatches!
