China Glaze ‘Chic Physique’ Collection

It’s been a little while! I was doing so well at keeping up a steady stream of reviews, and then of course life happens. I got busy during the week, and then my mom came down and visited! We finally saw Hamilton – the off broadway version, but it was still so good! I finally understand the hype and the show.

And so I’m finally finishing up the spring collection posts – it’s not summer until June 21st remember.

Rounding out the spring posts, I have the China Glaze ‘Chic Physique’ collection. This is of course a 12 piece collection, and reminded me constantly of how I should be out running while I was swatching it. Whoop, there are always other days.

You know, enough rambling, let’s just get right into it!

Nails Inc ‘Self Made Mermaid’ Duo

It’s been storming here lately so much, and I’ve been LOVING it. It’s perfect for staying inside, listening to the rain hit the window, and swatching like a mad man. I got a lot of photos taken this weekend of products, so I’m testing out so many things, and I can’t wait to review them all for you.

In this post, I’m talking about a duo from Nails Inc! If you’re at all involved in the polish world like I am, you’ll have seen these duos popping up and being talked about all over. And after I saw the two polishes in this one, I knew I had to pick up this one to try first.

These retail for $15 for the two polishes – a deal considering one is normally $15 on its own. And you can buy them through Sephora, so you can get the points through there if you have them. They have quite a few duos out, but this was the one I wanted to test out first. Let’s get on into the post!

Zoya Earth Day Haul 2018!

It’s that time of year again where I have my Zoya Earth Day Haul! If you’re not aware of it, every year during the month of April for Earth Day, Zoya offers 50% off all of their polishes, making them $5 each.

I’m at the point where I honestly order from Zoya twice a year – during the Earth Day sale, and during the Black Friday sale. I never pay full price for polishes, so ordering them at $10 at any other point of the year is something I can’t bring myself to do yet.

I also love the Earth Day sale for the recycling aspect of it. After you order, you can send any polishes you don’t want, from any brand, back to Zoya with your invoice and they’ll safely recycle them for you. It really makes me sit down, and go through my collection, and get rid of polishes that I know I won’t wear, whether it’s because of formula or just not loving the color on me. It’s what inspired me to start getting my colors all down on swatch sticks as well! (That project has halted a little while I’m busy swatching).

So I went through my wishlist, and watched favorites videos from both JoyfulBeauty and PaintThosePiggies on YouTube (I have to credit them for a lot of my choices) and “narrowed” it down to 12 polishes.

I ordered these by color, because as you go down, there’s definitely a theme. I was very much feeling the springy, cool-toned shades… Enough rambling, we got a lot of polishes to swatch.

Essie Spring 2018 Collection

It’s May and I’m finally getting through the last of the spring posts! Maybe someday after I talk about it so much, I’ll actually be “on time” with the collection reviews. Probably never. Really promoting myself, aren’t I?

Either way, here I am with the Essie Spring 2018 collection! Did you see they just dropped 2 new collections right on us? The Sea Glass Shimmers, as well as their Summer collection both seemed to pop out at once! (How am I ever going to catch up when they do me like this). Anyways, you can preview both of those here!

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves and go back to spring shall we? I mean, it’s not officially summer until June 21st after all.

As usual, it’s a 6 piece collection – after doing 12 piece collections, I almost weep when I just have to swatch a 6 piecer. This one is travel/naval themed, and features 5 creams, and one more shimmery finish. Let’s just get right into it!

Sinful Colors ‘Vanessa Hudgens’ Collection

Look at Sinful Colors just popping out collections again. With this many collections in a year, they’re going to fill up my Helmers so quickly. I’ll complain, but I’ll continue buying every single thing they ever do. It’s fine. Very healthy.

Anyways, they suddenly dropped this Vanessa Hudgens Festival collection on us. Like bam! There it is. They also did something different with this collection, and it was available at Ulta. You should be able to still find the big display up at Ulta stores (although apparently they might also be in the clearance bin already, so some hunting might be required). Or you can also buy most of the polishes on Ulta.com!

But I found them! This is a 12 piece collection, but I have 11 here currently. Sinful Colors did that thing where they released all but 1, and made that last shade, ‘Shimmy Shimmy’, a dark blue, a more hard to find one. I get it, but it’s also annoying. Anyway, I’ll of course update this when I have the last one, but for now I really wanted to get this up for the 11 that are available now.

It’s a full collection of shimmers and bright colors, so let’s just get into it!

Sinful Colors ‘Indie Soul’ Collection

Sinful Colors is doing that thing again where they bring out lots of collections all at once. And lemme tell you I never hate it. Sinful Colors is just so affordable so of course I’ll just pick up every single thing they ever do. Please love me.

So they’ve put out two separate 3 piece collections that are boho/indie themed. This one I found is called ‘Indie Soul’ and has 3 shimmery tones. ‘Boho Beat’ is another 3 piece collection and has some darker shimmers and creams.

I have ‘Indie Soul’ today, and like I said, it’s a little 3 piece collection, so it’s going to be a nice short post! Let’s get into it.

Orly ‘Pastel City’ Spring 2018 Collection

Yooooooo more spring collection posts! I know, I’m like the slowest nail blogger ever, especially as summer collections are being announced (looking at you OPI, and Essie.) But I’m trying to kick it into high gear and try to somehow get back on schedule (it’s funny that ‘on schedule’ in the swatching world is technically being a season ahead. But whatever, it’s the cross I chose to bear).

But anyways, let’s get right into this one. This is the Orly Spring 2018 collection. It’s a traditional 6 bottle collection and it’s called ‘Pastel City’. It’s made up of 3 light creams and 3 frosty shimmers.

I don’t know about you guys, but I still think Orly is just underrated. From their summer collection on last year, they’ve been putting out fabulous formulas. So I just always want to give them a place on my blog. They deserve it.

This is my first collection, and first experience with the Orly Color Pass! It’s where you pay up front ($119 – that equals to about $4 a bottle) for all 4 collections at the beginning of the year. And then, throughout the year, as collections are released, they’re automatically sent over to you. It’s super nice, and I love the idea of having all the collections already scheduled out to come to me. You can read more about it here. And each of the boxes comes with a fun little presentation, as well as other little items. The spring box came with a scrunchie and a bottle of cuticle oil. Super cute, and I’m here for it.

So let’s finally get into the collection, shall we?

OPI ‘Lisbon’ Spring 2018 Collection + Sally Beauty Exclusives

Look at this! It’s a spring post! That’s right, I’m finally getting spring posts up. (Even though it’s holding out at a solid 40 degrees here but you know). I had a lovely weekend home for Easter, and rode back on the train today. Am the only one just grossly fascinated with trains? I ride them every day and they still fill me full of wonder.

Enough trains. This is a beauty blog (but there’s beauty in trains, right?) and we have a collection to talk about! Today I have the OPI ‘Lisbon’ collection, based off the lovely town in Portugal. I haven’t been there yet, but it’s definitely on my list.

This is mainly full of bright and rich creams and some shimmer. I have the 12 core shades, as well as the 3 Sally Beauty Exclusive shades at the end. There’s a lot of bottles and a lot of nails to get through, so let’s get right into it!

Wet N Wild ‘Goth-O-Graphic’ FULL COLLECTION Review

FINALLY THIS REVIEW IS HERE. I planned on having this up earlier, but goddamn, I didn’t realized how long it would take. But I tested these out religiously for a couple weeks, and I have all of my thoughts and photos collected into one place!

So what’re we even talking about here? Wet N Wild dropped a full collection called ‘Goth-o-Graphic’. This rides on the tails of the huge “holographic” trend that has been taking the world by storm (none of this makeup is holographic, only the packaging is lemme say that). It seemed it was in production, and then suddenly a couple weeks before it launched, Wet N Wild went crazy, promoting it as this brand new thing. I will credit them, they did really build up the hype around this and get people excited.

Now, you’re seeing Goth and thinking all black, all deep and dark and vampy shades. This is not the case here. I believe they’re going for almost a “pastel goth” trend here – this is what others have said, but there’s lots of shimmers and pastel colors and out of the box shades. It’s got holographic skulls everywhere. I’m here for this.

I did order the full box that they offered – yo girl was right on the button, right when this collection dropped, ordering it within the first 4 minutes it was on the website. I missed out on the box for the Midnight Mermaid collection, and almost missed it entirely, so I wasn’t going to make that mistake again.

This box retails for $40, and since I knew I wanted to review the whole collection, it did save money overall. I loved the whole presentation, and thought the box was so nicely done. (I haven’t gotten rid of this box yet, I’m not gonna lie, idk it’s just too nice I can’t do it yet). It’s no longer available as a whole set on the website, but the products are all there individually.

This collection obviously comes with quite a bit of pieces! You get 4 liquid eyeshadows ($4.99 each), 3 eyeliners ($3.99 each), 4 Liquid Catsuits ($4.99 each), a MegaGlo Highlighting Stick ($6.99), 2 powder highlighters ($4.99 each), and 1 loose highlighter (this one is no longer available on the website :(((( – but I’ll say it right now, if you see it in stores, pick it up right away). Everything else is available on their website, as well as various stores.

This is going to be a hella long post with a ton of photos, so let’s just get into it already.

Sinful Colors ‘Lucked Up’ St. Patrick’s Day Collection

Alright, I know I’m right on the wire again with posting this. But amid all the green beer drinking and boozing, there will definitely be time to stop into Walgreens and pick up a green polish if any of these strike your fancy. Maybe the pot of gold is really a Walgreens. Makes sense to me.

I think I finally found a reliable dealer in the new Sinful Colors collections, guys. I think I finally found the Walgreens I can stalk relentlessly until they put out the new displays. Hopefully, fingers crossed, my SC reviews are going to be a little more reliable. Sinful Colors was my one of my first posts on this blog, and some of my most viewed, so I’ll always come back to them and pick up the newest shades as soon as I can find them.

Today I have the St. Patrick’s Day 2018 collection from them. This is called ‘Lucked Up’ and it features 3 new shades, as well as a boatload of repromotes. So let’s get right into it!
